Can Stories Still Heal? Dr Krishna Saksena Thinks So in ‘Flowers Bloom’

June 15, 2025: Renowned author and academic Dr Krishna Saksena launched her latest book Flowers Bloom at a heartfelt event in New Delhi today. The book was officially released by eminent homeopath and Padma Shri awardee Dr Kalyan Banerjee, in the presence of prominent literary and academic personalities.

Flowers Bloom is a collection of thoughtful short stories that delve into Indian culture, spiritual values, and the emotional fabric of everyday life. With simple language and deeply meaningful themes, the stories gently explore human virtues like empathy, humility, and kindness—inviting readers to pause and reflect on their own inner journey.

Speaking at the launch, Dr Saksena emphasized storytelling as a powerful tool for change. “The Vedas have long used stories to convey wisdom. If even one reader finds greater kindness or understanding through my book, I’ll feel fulfilled,” she said. Dr Banerjee described the book as “timeless,” praising its emotional depth and universal relevance.

Symbolic of beauty and quiet generosity, the title Flowers Bloom captures the spirit of Dr Saksena’s work. A trailblazer in Indian academia, she was the first woman in Uttar Pradesh to earn a PhD and has authored several acclaimed titles like The Gita As I Understand, Take a U Turn, and Tales My Wrinkles Tell. Her latest offering continues her legacy of writing that resonates with heart and soul.
