The film opened on a strong note, collecting an estimated ₹4.2 crore on its first day, followed by steady earnings of ₹4 crore on Saturday and ₹4.15 crore on Sunday. However, its box office momentum slowed considerably from Monday, with collections dropping to ₹1.19 crore. By Tuesday, early estimates suggest the earnings fell below ₹1 crore, bringing the total Indian box office collection to ₹14.44 crore.

While Brave New World has outperformed The Marvels (2023), which earned ₹12.15 crore in its first week, it falls behind Marvel blockbusters like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (₹101.3 crore in opening week) and Eternals (₹26.1 crore in opening week). The film’s English screenings have driven most of its revenue, while the Hindi-dubbed version has maintained a modest 6.32% occupancy rate.

Directed by Julius Onah, Captain America: Brave New World is Mackie’s first major cinematic outing as Captain America post-The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The film also stars Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, and Liv Tyler in pivotal roles.

What’s Next for Marvel Studios?

Despite a lukewarm response to Brave New World, Marvel Studios has two more major releases lined up for 2025:

  • Thunderbolts – Releasing on May 2, 2025
  • The Fantastic Four: First Steps – Scheduled for July 2025

With growing competition from Bollywood and declining enthusiasm for Marvel’s latest releases in India, it remains to be seen how Brave New World performs in the coming days.
