Marvel’s latest installment, Captain America: Brave New World, kicked off its box office run with a solid $40 million opening day in North America, including $12 million from previews. The film has managed to outperform Captain America: The First Avenger ($25.7M) and The Winter Soldier ($36.9M) on their respective opening days. However, it still trails behind Captain America: Civil War ($75.5M).
