Cardi B Expresses Concern About Her Kids' Drive and Work Ethic
January 31, 2025: Rapper Cardi B recently shared her biggest concern about her children with ex-husband Offset—Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and their four-month-old baby girl. The star opened up on her Instagram Stories, revealing that her main fear is that her kids might not develop the strong drive she holds dear.
“My biggest fear is my kids not having that DRIVE,” Cardi wrote, adding, “IDGAF what you wanna do!! MAKE A BILLION DOLLARS OUT OF IT!”
Having faced many challenges in her own career, Cardi is deeply aware of the importance of a strong work ethic. After rising to fame in 2015 on Love & Hip Hop: New York and becoming a global rap sensation with her breakout single “Bodak Yellow” in 2017, Cardi understands the hustle required to succeed in the entertainment industry.
In an interview in Singapore in 2022, Cardi shared that although her kids will never experience the struggle she faced, she still wants them to appreciate hard work. “They need to know to never feel comfortable,” she said. “Don’t ever feel like, ‘I’m going to get it because I’m Cardi and Offset’s kid.'”
While her kids may not know hardship, Cardi is determined that they learn the value of earning their achievements: “Even though my kids are well-off, I want them to know that when you work for things and achieve it, it’s more respected…”
