Cate Blanchett Joins Cast of ‘Alpha Gang’ in Pivotal Role

Renowned Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett is set to grace the screen once again, this time in a pivotal role in the upcoming alien invasion comedy titled ‘Alpha Gang’. The film is helmed by the acclaimed filmmaking duo David and Nathan Zellner, known for their work on the acclaimed ‘Sasquatch Sunset’.

According to reports from Variety, ‘Alpha Gang’ is gearing up for its launch at Cannes, with MK2 Films handling international sales and CAA Media Finance securing North American distribution rights. With filming scheduled to commence in the Fall, anticipation is already building for this unique cinematic venture.

‘Alpha Gang’ serves as the highly anticipated follow-up to the Zellner brothers’ previous project, “Sasquatch Sunset,” a quirky absurdist comedy that garnered significant attention at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Starring Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough, “Sasquatch Sunset” continues to captivate audiences, currently enjoying a successful run in the U.S. courtesy of Bleecker Street.
