Mumbai, January 12: Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal reflected on the transformative impact of Uri: The Surgical Strike on his career as the film celebrated its sixth anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, Vicky shared an emotional post, expressing his gratitude to audiences for their unwavering love and appreciation.
“6 years to the movie that changed my life! Forever grateful for all the love. How’s the Josh?” he captioned the post, revisiting his iconic dialogue from the film.
A Tribute to the Nation and Cinema
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Uri is based on the Indian Army’s surgical strikes in September 2016 on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The film not only celebrated the bravery of Indian soldiers but also became a cinematic masterpiece that resonated deeply with audiences.
Vicky portrayed Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, a role that became a turning point in his career, earning him widespread acclaim and numerous awards. The film also featured stellar performances by Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari, and Mohit Raina.
