Chahal–Mahvash Spark Buzz With Cryptic Posts
Unfollows, subtle quotes and silence fuel fresh speculation online
January 27, 2026: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and RJ Mahvash have sparked fresh speculation after unfollowing each other on social media last week, followed by a series of cryptic posts from both sides. Chahal recently shared an Instagram story quoting Lord Krishna, stating that priorities matter more than time, hinting at personal clarity and choices. This comes shortly after he was spotted with Bigg Boss fame Shefali Bagga, adding to the online chatter.
RJ Mahvash, who was often seen with Chahal in recent months, also posted subtle messages on her Instagram Stories. She shared a casual video of herself fixing her hair in her car, captioned, “90 per cent of the time you’ll see me fixing my hair. The rest of the time, I fix life.” In another post, she shared a photo with the message, “Sending you some peace,” which fans interpreted as a quiet response to ongoing rumours.
The exact reason behind the apparent fallout remains unclear. Chahal and Mahvash’s public appearances together had earlier led to rumours linking her to his divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma, whom he married in 2020. Addressing the speculation on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Chahal had denied any such claims, expressing regret over the backlash Mahvash faced and stating that their association was misunderstood by the public.
