Checkout 'One Battle After Another' Trailer: Leonardo DiCaprio Stars In Desperate Search For Daughter
March 28, 2025: Warner Bros. has unveiled the gripping trailer for One Battle After Another, a gunslinger thriller directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film, which also features Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Chase Infiniti, is loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland.
The trailer opens with DiCaprio’s character, Bob Ferguson, entering a grocery store in a plaid robe to steal a pair of sunglasses. His desperation to find his daughter becomes evident when he makes a coded call from a payphone, stating, “I need to find my daughter,” but struggling to recall a crucial detail. The voice on the other end of the line suggests, “Maybe you should have studied the Rebellion text a little harder,” hinting at a deeper conspiracy.
The trailer continues with shots of Teyana Taylor playing a pregnant woman firing a rifle, and soldiers breaking into a home, adding to the tension of the film. The clip culminates with DiCaprio’s character reflecting on his turbulent journey with the wry line, “Just when you think you got a handle on things.”
Originally set for release on August 8, the film’s release date has been moved to September 28, sparking speculation that it could be aiming for a fall festival push, despite Anderson’s preference for a traditional theatrical debut. Anderson, known for his critically acclaimed work on There Will Be Blood and The Master, last premiered his film The Master at the Venice Film Festival in 2012, where he won Best Director.
