The trailer takes viewers on a journey through key locations from the Ramayana epic, including Ayodhya, Mithila, the forest of Panchavati, and the battleground of Lanka, all rendered in breathtaking Japanese anime style. This reimagining of the legendary tale is a remarkable Indo-Japanese collaboration that has been carefully crafted by over 450 artists, using nearly 100,000 hand-drawn cells to bring the timeless story to life in vibrant detail.

The film, originally released in 1993 at the International Film Festival of India, has been a cultural touchstone for many, especially for those who remember it from its broadcast on Cartoon Network. With its re-release in 4K, the film is set to make a grand return to cinemas across India on January 24, 2025, and will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu, ensuring it reaches a diverse audience.

Shri V. Vijayendra Prasad, a renowned filmmaker and one of the key figures behind the project, shared his thoughts on the significance of the film, noting that the Ramayana resonates universally due to its themes of dharma, courage, and love. The epic has inspired countless adaptations and interpretations over centuries, and this new version promises to introduce the iconic story to a new generation of viewers.

The film’s theatrical release in collaboration with Geek Pictures India, AA Films, and Excel Entertainment will undoubtedly bring the magic of the Ramayana back to the big screen, offering fans an unforgettable cinematic experience.
