
‘Chhaava’ Box Office Collection Day 23: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Crosses ₹500 Crore in India, Continues Its Unstoppable Run
March 9, 2025: Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava continues its unstoppable run at the Indian box office. The film, which portrays the brave and inspiring journey of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has now surpassed the ₹500 crore milestone in just 23 days, making it one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
On Saturday, Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram to share his excitement and gratitude for the film’s overwhelming success.

According to reports, Chhaava has collected a staggering ₹502.7 crore within 22 days in India alone. With its strong word-of-mouth and positive reception, the film continues to pull audiences to theaters even in its fourth week.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently praised Chhaava during his address at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in Delhi.
“Maharashtra and Mumbai have elevated Hindi cinema along with Marathi films. And these days, Chhaava is making waves.”
Touched by the recognition, Vicky Kaushal reshared PM Modi’s remarks, expressing his gratitude and honor.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is based on Shivaji Sawant’s acclaimed Marathi novel of the same name. The film stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana.
With its engaging storytelling, powerful performances, and grand visuals, Chhaava has struck a deep emotional chord with audiences, making it one of 2025’s most successful films.
