Chhaava Box Office Day 1 Advance Booking: Sells Over 2 Lakh Tickets, Set to Be Biggest Valentine’s Day Opener!

Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama takes a roaring start, surpassing Gully Boy’s pre-sales and setting new records.

February 12, 2025: The much-anticipated Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava is making waves at the Indian box office, with day 1 advance booking figures already surpassing Gully Boy’s historic Valentine’s Day opening. With over 2.07 lakh tickets sold and an advance collection of ₹5.85 crore gross, Chhaava is all set for a massive opening on February 14.

Chhaava’s Advance Booking Trend & Box Office Dominance

The Laxman Utekar directorial, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is showing strong box office potential, particularly in Maharashtra, which is contributing a significant chunk of its earnings. Out of the ₹5.85 crore advance sales, ₹4.55 crore has come from Maharashtra alone, indicating that the film will open with a front-loaded response.

At 10:30 AM IST, Chhaava had already exceeded Gully Boy’s pre-sales figures (₹4-5 crore gross), making it Bollywood’s biggest Valentine’s Day advance booking success. For context, Gully Boy (2019), starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, remains the biggest Bollywood Valentine’s Day opener with a ₹19.40 crore net collection on day 1. Given Chhaava’s stellar pre-sales performance, it now seems poised to break Gully Boy’s day 1 record.

With still two days left before release, trade experts predict that the final advance sales figure could reach ₹10 crore or even higher, securing Chhaava’s position as one of the biggest openers of the year.
