‘Chhaava’ Box Office Day 2: Produced at a Budget of ₹130 Crores, Vicky Kaushal’s Epic Drama Nears ₹70 Crore, Eyes ₹100 Crore Weekend
February 16, 2025: 'Chhaava' Box Office Collection Day 2-Vicky Kaushal’s 'Chhaava', which brings the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to the big screen, is proving to be a box office juggernaut. After delivering a massive ₹31 crore opening, the film witnessed further growth on its second day, collecting ₹36.5 crore on Saturday, taking its total India net collection to ₹67.5 crore in just two days. With momentum building, the historical drama is set to cross the ₹100 crore mark in its opening weekend.
The film saw an overall occupancy of 50.39% across the country on Day 2, with significant growth in evening (52.57%) and night (69.02%) shows. Regional demand was particularly high, with Pune leading at 89.25% occupancy, followed by Mumbai (74.75%) and Hyderabad (61.25%).
Directed by Laxman Utekar, ‘Chhaava’ presents the untold story of valor, sacrifice, and leadership of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
With Sunday’s collections expected to rise even further, ‘Chhaava’ is on track to emerge as the first ₹100 crore Bollywood film of 2025.
