Impact of Cricket Matches on Box Office Performance
Despite its strong performance, major cricket events have affected Chhaava’s collections.
- The India vs Pakistan match (February 23) and the India vs Australia semi-final (March 4) resulted in noticeable drops in ticket sales.
- With India set to play in the Champions Trophy final on March 9, trade analysts predict another dip in collections from Sunday afternoon onwards.
“With India qualifying for the finals this Sunday, the box office business may experience a slowdown once again from 2 PM onwards,” noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
