With a 52-day total of ₹598.45 crore, Vicky Kaushal’s historical action drama inches closer to Jawan’s top spot and readies for its OTT premiere on Netflix.
Mumbai, April 7 – More than 50 days since its release, Chhaava continues to shine at the box office. The Vicky Kaushal-led blockbuster collected ₹1.25 crore on Day 52, taking its total domestic collection to ₹598.45 crore, as per Sacnilk.
With this, Chhaava has officially surpassed the lifetime earnings of Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 (₹597.99 crore) and is now the second-highest grossing Hindi film of all time, behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (₹640.25 crore).
Chhaava’s Historic Box Office Run
Directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna alongside Kaushal, the film has defied the trend of quick theatrical exits. While most films today struggle beyond their first week, Chhaava has enjoyed a sustained run, now in its eighth weekend.

Interestingly, both Chhaava and Stree 2 were produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, giving the banner a commanding presence at the top of Hindi cinema’s box office leaderboard.
Chhaava OTT Release on Netflix
Adding to its momentum, Chhaava is now set to release on Netflix on April 11, 2025. Industry watchers are curious whether the film’s theatrical run will hold post-OTT release — a rare feat for any movie in the digital era.

Can Chhaava Beat Jawan?
With just over ₹41.80 crore separating Chhaava from Jawan, the big question now is: Can it climb to the No. 1 spot? The film’s slow-and-steady earnings pattern suggests the possibility isn’t off the table, especially with strong word-of-mouth and sustained interest.
