'Chicken Jockey!' Craze from Minecraft Movie Goes Viral, Causes Chaos in Theatres

In one standout scene from the film, Jack Black’s character Steve yells “Chicken jockey!” as a tiny yet ferocious Minecraft chicken, ridden by another character, bursts into a boxing ring. The moment—designed as a humorous nod to the original game—instantly became a fan-favorite.
Now, audiences (especially younger viewers) are chanting the phrase in unison every time the scene plays—sometimes before it even arrives—turning traditional movie-going into a mini fan-rally.
The viral craze reached an unexpected high when a cinema screening was so rowdy that the police had to be called in. A group of overexcited moviegoers reportedly wouldn’t stop shouting and disrupting the screening. Officers were seen escorting a few viewers out of the theatre, drawing cheers from the rest of the audience, as shown in now-viral TikTok clips.
