Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson End Long-Term Relationship

June 5, 2025: After nearly a decade together, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Dakota Johnson have reportedly parted ways. According to PEOPLE, multiple sources confirmed the breakup, with one insider saying, “It feels final this time.” Representatives for both stars have yet to comment publicly.

Martin, 48, and Johnson, 35, first sparked romance rumors in 2017. Since then, they maintained a relatively private relationship, occasionally stepping into the spotlight together — most recently in January 2025, when they were seen holding hands in Mumbai during Coldplay’s tour and attending the spiritual Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

Despite recent public appearances, sources now claim the split may be permanent. The couple, once rumored to be secretly engaged, had reportedly “been engaged for years” but were in “no rush to marry,” according to insiders earlier this year.

In past interviews, Johnson had expressed deep affection for Martin and his children — Apple and Moses — from his previous marriage to Gwyneth Paltrow. She once said, “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.”

Although this isn’t their first breakup, insiders suggest that this time feels different. “They’ve had breaks before,” a source said, “but this one feels like the end.”
