Romano, best known for her role in Even Stevens, took to Instagram to reflect on how her life has changed profoundly since the incident and expressed deep gratitude for her healing journey.

In a post, Romano revealed that on February 7, during her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday celebration in Texas, she was struck in the face while shooting clay pigeons. She clarified that the injury occurred when “another party” fired in the wrong direction. Romano sustained a wound underneath her eye, and fragments of the shot remained lodged in her eye and forehead. She was rushed to the hospital, but fortunately, her vision was unaffected, and doctors continued to monitor her progress.

Despite the traumatic experience, Romano found humor in the situation and expressed gratitude for her life and her family. “Every day, to me, is a gift,” she wrote, noting that she used to be more closed off but now feels compelled to share more of her life and passions with her followers. She shared that she plans to embrace her hobbies, such as comedy, skincare, cooking, and family moments, without worrying about judgment.

Romano also posted a humorous video skit with her husband, where she jokingly mentioned, “I just got shot in the face” while eating Oreos and dealing with multiple deliveries at home. In the caption, she added, “I’m gonna eat all the damn Oreos, wherever and whenever I want,” reflecting her newfound outlook on life.

She also took the opportunity to remind her fans of the importance of cherishing loved ones, stating that her perspective on life had shifted since the accident. “Life can change in an instant,” Romano shared. “I love my daughters, husband, family and friends so much.
