CID Season 2: OG Team Clashes With New ACP Ayushmaan Over Pradyuman’s Killer
April 15, 2025: New Delhi – The return of CID on Sony Entertainment Television has brought back not just nostalgia but also a fresh wave of conflict — this time within the team. Following the dramatic death of Shivaji Satam’s iconic ACP Pradyuman, the show introduces Parth Samthaan as the young and sharp-tongued ACP Ayushmaan.

While fans still reel from the loss of the beloved senior officer, the OG CID gang — led by Abhijeet and Daya — is on a mission to avenge their fallen leader. But when revenge meets protocol, sparks are bound to fly.
In a gripping promo dropped by Sony TV, ACP Ayushmaan firmly tells his team, “Only thing that impresses me is results.” Daya, boiling with emotion, fires back, “Don’t worry ACP sir, in just a couple of days you will have the results: A dead Barbosa.” This response triggers a heated disagreement. Ayushmaan warns, “You’re CID officers, not gangsters. Bring Barbosa in. The law will decide what happens.”
But Abhijeet, loyal to Pradyuman’s legacy, takes a stand — “We’ll decide Barbosa’s punishment,” he declares.
With viewers divided over the new leadership, many fans are demanding the return of ACP Pradyuman or at least the promotion of OG members like Abhijeet and Daya. Speculations are now swirling that the makers may revive Shivaji Satam’s character, though no official confirmation has been made.
