Clay Walker To Star As Randy Travis In Upcoming Biopic ‘Forever And Ever, Amen’

March 7, 2025: A biopic about the life of country music legend Randy Travis is currently in the works, with country music star Clay Walker set to play the iconic singer. Titled Forever and Ever, Amen, the biopic will follow the remarkable journey of Travis, who became a key figure in the country music industry.

Directed by Andrew Hyatt, known for The Last Light, the biopic was announced at an event at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. The event featured performances by country music stars such as Clay Walker, Collin Raye, Lady A, and James Dupre, all of whom are friends of Travis.

Clay Walker will portray Travis in his 40s and 50s. The film will feature three actors who will play Travis at different stages of his life, showcasing his career and legacy. Alongside starring in the film, Walker will also executive produce the project with Randy Travis and his wife, Mary Travis.

Randy Travis, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, is known for his impressive career, which includes 23 No. 1 worldwide hits, seven Grammy Awards, 11 ACM Awards, 10 American Music Awards, and five CMA Awards. One of his signature songs, “Forever and Ever, Amen,” earned both the CMA Awards for Single and Album of the Year when it debuted in 1987.

Despite suffering a debilitating stroke 12 years ago, Travis continues to create original music with the help of technology. At the Grand Ole Opry event, Clay Walker performed “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and it concluded with a heartfelt “amen” from Randy Travis himself.

Clay Walker, famous for his hits like “What’s It To You,” “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming With My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make A Living,” and “Rumor Has It,” will bring Travis’s story to life in this highly anticipated film.
