November 14, 2024: Due to overwhelming fan demand, Coldplay has announced an additional fourth concert in India as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour. Following the rapid sell-out of three concerts in Mumbai, the band will perform at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25, 2025. This extra show offers fans another opportunity to experience Coldplay’s energetic live performance after unprecedented interest in their Mumbai events.
Coldplay took to Instagram to announce the Ahmedabad date, sharing details for eager fans on how to secure tickets. Their post read, “2025 AHMEDABAD DATE ANNOUNCED. The band will play their biggest ever show, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 25 January, 2025. Tickets on sale 16 November at 12pm IST. Delivered by DHL.”
Tickets for the Ahmedabad concert will be available on BookMyShow starting November 16 at 12 PM IST. After tickets for Coldplay’s Mumbai shows on January 18, 19, and 20 sold out in mere minutes, demand surged further, leaving fans searching for resale options. This prompted Coldplay’s decision to expand the tour in India to Ahmedabad.
With ticket prices for the Mumbai shows ranging from ₹2,500 to ₹35,000, fans can expect a similar price structure for the Ahmedabad concert. However, the resale market has seen tickets skyrocket to as much as ₹3.65 lakh, frustrating genuine fans. In response, the Maharashtra Police’s cyber wing has urged BookMyShow to implement stricter protocols to prevent ticket scalping, including name-based ticketing measures.
