Ahmedabad (Gujarat), January 27: Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, delivered an unforgettable performance in Ahmedabad on Sunday, paying a heartfelt tribute to India on its 76th Republic Day. The global music icon sang iconic Indian songs ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’, leaving the crowd mesmerized.

The audience erupted into cheers and applause as Martin’s soulful rendition resonated with the patriotic spirit of the day. He concluded the tribute by saying, “Salute to Mother India”, and extended warm Republic Day wishes to all.

A Song for Jasprit Bumrah

In a lighthearted moment, Chris Martin dedicated a song to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. Acknowledging Bumrah’s stellar performances, Martin humorously lamented,
“O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket.”
The song delighted the crowd and added a playful cricketing touch to the evening.

This special moment was captured in a video shared on Disney+ Hotstar’s Instagram handle, with the concert being live-streamed on the platform.
