Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli continue to set major couple goals with their infectious humor and fun banter.
Recently, Anushka shared a hilarious promotional video on her Instagram, where she playfully challenges Virat to a cricket match, all in the context of a sportswear brand ad.
The video opens with Anushka confidently stating, “Virat, I think I can beat you at cricket,” and then introducing a series of quirky rules that are clearly in her favor. Some of her humorous rules include:
- “You miss the ball thrice, you’re out.”
- “The one who brings the bat, bats first.”
- “If the ball strikes you on the body thrice, you’re out.”
- “Whoever hits a sixer has to retrieve the ball.”
In typical playful fashion, Anushka bats first but gets bowled out by Virat twice in a row. As she keeps inventing new rules to gain an advantage, Virat adorably protests with lines like “hatt” and “abe kya hai ye,” adding to the charm of the video.
The fun ends with a reel of bloopers that adds to the hilarity of the couple’s dynamic. Sharing the video, Anushka captioned it, “Lulu balling, lassi shots & a lot more.“
Fans, as well as celebrities, quickly chimed in the comments section:
- Karan Tacker called the bloopers “adorable.”
- Zoya Akhtar and Huma Qureshi shared their appreciation with laughing emojis and comments like “Haha love.”
- One fan humorously commented, “Mard sirf apni pasandida aurat k rules manta hai,” translating to “A man only follows the rules set by his favorite woman.“
Virat and Anushka, lovingly referred to as Virushka, tied the knot on December 11, 2017, in Italy. The couple was blessed with their first child, Vamika, in January 2021, and they welcomed their second child, Akaay, earlier this year in February.
Virat Kohli recently made headlines by becoming the fastest player to cross 27,000 international runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record during the Test series against Bangladesh. Kohli achieved the milestone in 594 innings, 29 fewer than Tendulkar. He also climbed to sixth in the ICC Test Rankings with solid knocks of 47 and 29* in the series.
On the work front, Anushka Sharma is gearing up for her next film, ‘Chakda Xpress’, a biopic on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film is expected to stream on an OTT platform, though the final release date is yet to be announced.
