Dax Shepard Posts Naked Tribute to Kristen Bell After Her First Emmy Nod

July 18, 2025: Dax Shepard is celebrating Kristen Bell in the most “cheeky” way possible after her 2025 Emmy nomination.

On July 15, the Armchair Expert podcast host, 50, posted a nude photo of Bell, 44, just hours after she received her very first Emmy nod for her role in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This. The snapshot showed Bell doing a handstand wearing nothing but blue knee-high socks, with a red box modestly covering her backside.

“People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy-nominated performance like Kristen’s,” Shepard joked in the caption. “This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”

Bell, who stars as Joanne alongside Adam Brody’s Noah in the romantic comedy series, earned her nomination in the Best Comedy Actress category. Season two of the show returns October 23.

The post quickly gained traction, with celebrity friends chiming in. Nina Dobrev commented, “Hahahaha yesssss go girl! 🍑 Suns out buns out for that Emmy!!!” while Gwyneth Paltrow simply reacted: “Oh my God, Dax.”

The couple, who share two daughters—Lincoln (11) and Delta (10)—have previously spoken openly about their comfort with nudity at home. On a March episode of Armchair Expert, Shepard said they’re not “hung up on nudity,” though he acknowledged that might need to change as their daughters enter adolescence.

Trust runs deep in the Shepard-Bell relationship. In a February interview, Bell said she’s completely secure in Dax’s loyalty, even when filming love scenes. “Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he’s committed to our family,” she said.

As for her onscreen chemistry with Brody? Bell joked that there’s no heat when the cameras stop rolling. “We bicker all the time. We’re like an old granny and grampy,” she said. “It’s not hot and heavy on set at all.”

Bell and Shepard met in 2007 at a birthday party and later reconnected at a hockey game. Bell recalled falling for his personality long before he was smitten. “He talked so much… I was like: ‘This guy can talk!’ I fell in love with him way before he fell in love with me.”
