Deepika Padukone Flaunts Baby Bump Ahead of 'Kalki 2898 AD' Event
Actor Deepika Padukone is making headlines as she shares stunning glimpses of her baby bump ahead of the pre-release event for the highly anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in Mumbai. On Wednesday, Deepika took to Instagram to post a series of blurry, monochrome pictures. In the photos, she wore a form-fitting dress with a slit in the back, completing her look with high heels and jewelry.
One captivating image shows Deepika holding her baby bump, styled in a messy ponytail, and laughing joyfully. She captioned the photos, “Okay enough…Now I’m hungry!”
Singham Again
Deepika Padukone is set to share the screen with her husband, Ranveer Singh, in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again,’ which is currently in production.
Kalki 2898 AD
Deepika will also appear in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD.
Bhairava Anthem
In anticipation of the film’s release, the makers recently unveiled the ‘Bhairava Anthem’ featuring Telugu superstar Prabhas and popular Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. Both stars can be seen in traditional Punjabi outfits, with Prabhas donning a turban.
Diljit Dosanjh shared the teaser of the song on Instagram, saying, “Bhairva Anthem Coming Soon PANJAB X SOUTH Panjabi Aa Gaye OYE.. Darling @actorprabhas.” The song, sung by Diljit Dosanjh and Vijaynarain, with lyrics by Kumaar and music by Santhosh Narayanan, perfectly encapsulates Prabhas’s character Bhairava.
Last month, a teaser of Amitabh Bachchan’s look from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was unveiled during an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The 21-second teaser showed Big B in warm earthy tones, seated in a cave and engaged in prayer to a Shiva linga. Covered in bandages, his character exudes a mystical aura.
In the clip, a young child asks Big B, “Kya tum bhagwan ho, kya tum marr nahi sakte? Tum Bhagwan ho? Kaun ho Tum?” to which his character replies, “Dwapar yug se Dash avatar ki pratiksha kar raha hoon main, Dronacharya ka putra Ashwatthama.” (Since the Dwapar Yug, I have waited for the Dasavatar.)
In addition to Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ features Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The film is set to hit theatres on June 27, promising to be a cinematic spectacle.
