Bollywood couple rings in New Year with cosy dinners and fan moments
January 13, 2026: Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed the New Year in New York before returning to India on January 11. Photos and videos of the duo enjoying their holiday and posing with fans have been widely shared online. One viral picture shows the couple twinning in black as they pose with chef Mayank Istwal after a cosy dinner date in the city.
The image was shared by chef Mayank on Instagram, who wrote, “It was a pleasure to host @deepikapadukone and @ranveersingh. Amazing humans!” Deepika and Ranveer dined at New York’s Michelin-star restaurant Musaafer, where they relished Indian cuisine. Responding to a fan query, the chef confirmed that the couple did enjoy his popular dal makhani, further fuelling buzz that the actors were on a food trail during their US visit.
Earlier, the couple also visited celebrity chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow, in New York. There, they celebrated the success of Dhurandhar by indulging in modak, with Deepika even trying her hand at making the sweet under Khanna’s guidance. Fans flooded social media with comments praising the couple, with many admiring Deepika’s glow and dubbing them the “Dhurandhar couple.”
