Deepika Padukone Shares Exam Stress Tips And Success Mantras On PM Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’

February 12, 2025: Actor Deepika Padukone, in the eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program, offered invaluable advice to students on how to manage exam stress while preparing for their upcoming exams. Deepika, who has been an advocate for mental health awareness, especially through her foundation, LiveLoveLaugh, shared insights into how students can deal with the pressures that exams bring.

During the interaction with students, Deepika encouraged them to focus on what they can control. She emphasized the importance of preparation, suggesting students ask themselves, “Am I prepared or not?” as this is within their control. She also recommended talking to parents and teachers about stress to help identify its causes. Her approach to dealing with stress includes practices like meditation, exercise, and having open conversations about one’s concerns.

Reflecting on her school days, Deepika shared her love for extracurricular activities, particularly sports and fashion days, and how her parents never pressured her about getting good marks. She advised parents to focus on their child’s potential, rather than just academic performance.

Deepika’s success mantra to students was clear: clarity on what one wants to do in life, believing in one’s own capabilities, and maintaining the conviction to pursue one’s goals. She acknowledged that setbacks and mistakes are part of the journey but emphasized that the key is to “have fun” along the way.

As an advocate for mental health, Deepika also stressed the importance of good mental health practices. She mentioned the significance of adequate sleep, sunlight, and taking care of one’s mental well-being. Her advice for students to stay stress-free included staying patient regarding exams and results, and focusing on things within their control like sleeping well, staying hydrated, and meditating.

Deepika expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for inviting her to participate in the show and for providing a platform to share her views on handling stress and mental health during the examination period.

PM Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program has been held annually since 2018, aiming to guide students, parents, and teachers in navigating the stress of exams. The initiative encourages positive thinking and well-being, with each edition providing motivational talks and practical tips for students.
