Deepika Padukone Thanks PM Modi as She Joins 'Pariksha Pe Charcha'
February 11, 2025: Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for involving her in the eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha. In an Instagram post, Deepika shared a teaser of an upcoming episode where she interacts with students, discussing crucial topics, including mental health. She thanked PM Modi for this opportunity, particularly highlighting his commitment to raising awareness about mental well-being.
“‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is back with its 8th Edition! And this time we’ll also be discussing the importance of Mental Health. Thank you Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi for your commitment towards this cause. I look forward to launching our episode,” Deepika wrote in her Instagram caption.
In the teaser, the actress recalls her school days, admitting to being a “naughty kid” who would often jump around sofas, tables, and chairs. She also talked about the stress she experienced during her school years, particularly with subjects like Mathematics. Reflecting on PM Modi’s advice from his book, she emphasized the importance of self-expression, whether with friends, family, or teachers.
“I was a naughty kid at school who used to jump around sofas, tables, and chairs. We also get stressed a lot. Like I was so weak in Maths and still am. Narendra Modi ji had also shared in his book to express, never suppress. So always express yourself, whether it is with your friends, family, parents, or teachers,” Deepika shared with a smile.
The full episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha 8 is set to drop on February 12 at 10 am.
During his interaction with students, PM Modi shared valuable advice on handling failure and success. He encouraged students to turn their failures into valuable lessons rather than viewing them as setbacks. He also stressed the importance of embracing technology and using it wisely.
“A student’s life does not stop if they fail an exam. One must decide whether they want to succeed in life or books. You should turn your failures into your teachers. You are fortunate to be born in an era of technology, and our focus should be on understanding technology and using it optimally,” PM Modi remarked.
The Prime Minister also emphasized holistic development, stating that students should not be confined to textbooks alone. He urged students to participate in their favorite activities and explore their passions freely.
“Students are not robots. We study for our holistic development. Students cannot grow if they are trapped in books. They need to do their favorite activities; only then can they perform well in exams. One should not live with the mentality that exams are everything. One should gain as much knowledge as possible but not think that exams are everything. One should develop a habit of writing,” PM Modi said.
The Pariksha Pe Charcha event was broadcast across various platforms, including on the Prime Minister’s and PMO’s X profile, as well as on the PM’s YouTube Channel.
