October 24, 2025: Actor couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have once again captivated fans with their effortless on-screen chemistry, starring in a new advertisement for Abu Dhabi Tourism. The latest clip, which has quickly made the rounds on social media, shows the couple engaging in a bit of roleplay as they get ready for an intimate wedding anniversary dinner date.
The ad features playful banter between the two stars. At one point, Deepika playfully calls Ranveer, “Bond who forgot to shave,” to which he laughs and admits, “In any case, this roleplay stuff is too cheesy.”
The undeniable comfort and spark between the two actors, affectionately referred to by some fans as “Dua’s mummy papa,” has sent the internet into a frenzy. Social media platforms are flooded with praises for their screen presence, particularly Deepika’s stunning appearance in a red dress.
“Deepika and Ranveer, please come together for a rom-com,” pleaded one fan on Reddit. In a previous Abu Dhabi ad campaign, the actress had faced trolling and criticism for wearing a traditional Abaya and hijab while showcasing various locations in the UAE capital. The change in wardrobe for the latest segment suggests a sensitivity to the public debate generated by the first ad.
Both actors remain busy with upcoming projects. Deepika is set to star in Siddharth Anand’s King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, and will also be seen with Allu Arjun in Atlee’s AA22xA6. Meanwhile, Ranveer is preparing for the spy action thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, which also features Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan.
