January 5, 2026: In a month defined by record-shattering box office numbers, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has officially crossed the monumental ₹1,200 crore mark at the global box office.
As the film cements its status as an all-time blockbuster, Ranveer’s wife, superstar Deepika Padukone, shared a heartwarming moment of celebration with fans during a birthday meet-and-greet in Mumbai on January 4, 2026.
During an intimate interaction with fans on the eve of her birthday, Deepika couldn’t hide her excitement regarding the film’s unprecedented run.
Dhurandhar has achieved what few thought possible: it is the first-ever Bollywood film to cross ₹800 crore nett in India without the aid of major dubbed versions in its initial run.
| Metric | Collection Details (as of Day 31) |
| Worldwide Gross | ₹1,217.92 Crore |
| India Nett (Hindi) | ₹806.80 Crore |
| Overseas Gross | ₹265.38 Crore ($31.5M+) |
| Major Record | Beat KGF: Chapter 2 (₹1,200 Cr) and Jawan (₹1,148 Cr) |
Trade Note: The film has recorded double-digit collections for 30 consecutive days, a feat unparalleled in Indian cinema history. It currently trails only RRR, Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, and Dangal on the all-time list.
Directed by Aditya Dhar (Uri: The Surgical Strike), the film stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an undercover Indian spy navigating the criminal underworld of Karachi.
The massive success has already prompted the greenlighting of Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for a March 19, 2026 release. Unlike the first part, the sequel will be a pan-India release, dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam from day one to meet the organic demand from South Indian audiences.
