Shefali Shah returns as DIG Vartika Chaturvedi in the International Emmy-winning series, plunging into a chilling nationwide human trafficking case in what is being described as the most intense season yet, streaming on Netflix November 13.
November 11, 2025: Three years after its acclaimed second season, Netflix’s trailblazing police procedural, Delhi Crime, is back. Season 3 is set to debut on November 13, 2025, promising to be the most intense chapter in the Emmy-winning series, as it plunges viewers into the horrifying world of nationwide human trafficking.
The series, which made history by becoming the first Indian show to win the Best Drama Series award at the International Emmy Awards in 2020, sees the return of its formidable lead, Shefali Shah, as DIG Vartika Chaturvedi (fondly known as ‘Madam Sir’).
The Face-Off: Madam Sir vs. Badi Didi
This season’s plot centers on a disturbing web of exploitation. The team’s investigation begins with piles of missing-person files that expose a chilling pattern: young women lured by fake job offers, trapped in sham marriages, and forced into slavery before vanishing into a vast network of exploitation and deceit.
As DIG Chaturvedi begins connecting the dots, all paths lead to the season’s new antagonist: Badi Didi, a ruthless and elusive figure played by actress Huma Qureshi (Gangs of Wasseypur, Maharani). The addition of Qureshi sets the stage for a gripping psychological duel between two formidable women, which the showrunners have reportedly pitched as a “Batman vs. Joker” style face-off.
Huma Qureshi described the role as the “darkest, most disgusting character of my career,” stating that she was honored to join the cast to help raise awareness on such a critical social issue.
