‘Delhi Crime’ Season 3 Review: Dark, powerful, and unflinchingly real

New Delhi: The acclaimed Netflix series Delhi Crime returns with its third season, and early reactions suggest it continues the show’s tradition of gritty realism and powerful storytelling. Known for its authenticity and layered portrayal of Delhi’s policing system, the series once again places Shefali Shah at the centre of a tense, emotionally charged narrative.

A disturbing yet gripping storyline

Season 3 opens with Vartika Chaturvedi (Shefali Shah) now serving as a Deputy Inspector General of Police in Assam, following her punishment posting. Her return to Delhi comes amid a horrifying human trafficking case, where young women and girls are being abducted and sold — either to brothels or as brides.

The key suspect, Meena (Huma Qureshi), runs a vast trafficking network that forces Vartika and her team to confront moral, emotional, and institutional challenges. The familiar team returns — Neeti (Rasika Dugal), Bhupendra (Rajesh Tailang), Vimla (Jaya Bhattacharya), Jairaj (Anuraag Arora), Subhash (Sidharth Bhardwaj), and Sudhir (Gopal Datt) — as they dive into a complex investigation that exposes the horrifying scale of human exploitation.
