Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Record-Breaking Run Leaves Bollywood in Awe, Earns Rs 40 Crore In Opening Week

The anime film Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has made history at the Indian box office, earning a monumental ₹40 crore in its opening weekend.

September 15, 2025: Fans have been waiting for the anime movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle, which has broken records at the Indian box office. This shows that the anime wave is real.

According to Sacnilk, the movie, which came out on September 12, has taken over the box office and generated an astonishing ₹40 crore in its first weekend. This huge amount is more than the opening weekend earnings of many popular Bollywood and Tollywood movies, such as Baaghi 4 with Tiger Shroff and Jaat with Sunny Deol.

Haruo Sotozaki was in charge of the movie. It is the first book in a trilogy that will finish the plot of the manga. It has done quite well at the box office in the US, where it smashed records, just like it did in India.

The movie did successful in more than only India. It has set a new record for the most successful opening weekend for an anime movie in the US. Infinity Castle made a huge $70 million in its first weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. That’s more than twice what Pokémon: The Movie made in its first weekend. This amazing performance made the movie the number one movie in the US, beating out other recent Hollywood hits including The Conjuring: Last Rites and Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.

The movie has made over $353 million around the world, making it one of the best-selling movies of the year. The movie created history in Japan by becoming the highest-grossing film of 2025, making over $200 million. After that, other countries broke the record.

People from all over the world have surely appreciated Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, which is based on the “Infinity Castle” arc of the manga series. This means that anime is becoming more and more popular as a movie event. Fans are now very excited for the following two movies in the series, which promise to bring the epic story to a beautiful end.
