Dhadak 2: Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Film Struggles At Box Office Despite Discounted Tuesday

Despite getting excellent reviews for its social commentary, the romantic drama earned a disappointing ₹1.50 crore on Tuesday, failing to capitalize on a nationwide ₹99 ticket offer amid fierce competition.

August 7, 2025: “Dhadak 2,” a love story with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, isn’t doing well at the box office. People who have seen it have liked it, but ticket sales are still slow to pick up. The movie is a remake of the Tamil classic Pariyerum Perumal, but it seems to be having trouble because of bad marketing and tough competition.

On its first day, the movie made ₹3.5 crore, which isn’t a lot. It made a little more money during the weekend, but sales dropped a lot during the week. The guys who developed the movie tried to attract more people to see it on Tuesday by selling tickets for ₹99. But this only made ₹1.65 crore extra, which was disappointing because of the discount. On Wednesday, the sixth day, Sacnilk said the movie’s profits plummeted even more, to an estimated ₹1 crore, bringing the total to roughly ₹15.40 crore.

A lot of people think the movie didn’t do well because it didn’t have a good marketing plan and there were a lot of other movies that came out around the same time that were hard to beat, such Mahavatar Narsimha, Saiyaara, and Son of Sardaar 2.

The movie is about a girl from a higher caste who is studying law and a boy from a lower caste who falls in love with her. People liked how it dealt with societal issues and how wonderfully the principal actors acted. But critics’ acclaim hasn’t yet turned to sales.
