In a new promo for the show, Verma talked about the “gold digger” label she earned after her divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.

In 2020, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal got married. They officially divorced in March 2025. After the breakup that got a lot of attention, Dhanashree was bullied online a lot, with many people labeling her a “gold digger.” Chahal donning a T-shirt that proclaimed “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” on the day of their last court hearing was one of many public occurrences that made things worse. Dhanashree was cast with actor Arjun Bijlani for part of the episode. “Look, diamonds and silver don’t look good on me,” Bijlani added. “Gold suits me,” Dhanashree said in a hilarious and sarcastic way, and the statement instantly went viral.
