Dhanush Celebrates Birthday with “Best Blockbuster Gift” – The Success of ‘Raayan’

On his 40th birthday, actor Dhanush was flooded with love and wishes from fans and colleagues alike. He took a moment to express his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and the success of his latest film, ‘Raayan’. The actor shared his thanks on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “My sincere thanks to the audience, film fraternity, friends, press, and media, and my pillars of support — my fans for showering me with all your blessings. This is the best BLOCKBUSTER birthday gift ever.”

‘Raayan’, which hit the screens on July 26, is a significant project for Dhanush as he not only stars in it but also directed the film. The movie has received widespread acclaim, further cementing Dhanush’s reputation as a versatile talent in the industry. The ensemble cast includes S. J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Saravanan. Adding to the film’s appeal is the music, which has been masterfully scored by the renowned AR Rahman.

To make his birthday even more special, the makers of Dhanush’s upcoming film ‘Kubera’ unveiled a new-look poster of his intense character. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, ‘Kubera’ has been generating buzz for its intriguing title and stellar cast. The makers shared the poster on X, with the caption, “Happy Birthday to the phenomenal @dhanushkraja sir! Here’s to more groundbreaking performances and unforgettable moments in #SekharKammulasKubera!”

‘Kubera’ is set to be a pan-India multilingual venture, shot in both Tamil and Telugu. The film’s title, ‘Kubera’, symbolizes the god of wealth, hinting at an engaging storyline centered around themes of fortune and power. The movie stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, and Jim Sarbh, alongside Dhanush.

Earlier teasers have heightened anticipation for ‘Kubera’. Rashmika Mandanna’s look was revealed in a video showing her character navigating a jungle, uncovering a suitcase full of money, and walking away with it. Another teaser featured Nagarjuna amidst a rain-soaked scene, surrounded by trucks filled with currency notes, adding to the film’s mysterious and dramatic tone.

Additionally, Dhanush is reuniting with Raveena Tandon in ‘Ghudchadi’, which also stars Khushalii Kumar and Parth Samthaan. ‘Ghudchadi’ is set to premiere on the OTT platform JioCinema on August 9. Furthermore, Dhanush has joined the cast of the eagerly awaited ‘Housefull 5’, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. This installment promises to elevate the franchise’s comedic essence with a unique setting aboard a cruise ship. The star-studded lineup includes Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and now Sanjay Dutt, alongside Dhanush.

As Dhanush continues to captivate audiences with his performances, the excitement around his projects, including ‘Kubera’ and ‘Housefull 5’, only grows. His fans eagerly await the diverse and compelling roles he will bring to life on screen.
