Dharmendra Turns 89! See Sunny Deol’s Adorable Throwback Pictures With His Dad

December 8, 2024: Dharmendra, the iconic Bollywood star, is celebrating his 89th birthday today, and his son Sunny Deol has shared a heartfelt tribute to mark the special occasion.

Taking to Instagram, Sunny posted a touching video collage that beautifully captures some of their best moments together over the years. The video features a series of nostalgic throwback photos where the father and son are seen embracing, enjoying quality time in the mountains, and sharing tender moments, highlighting the strong bond they share.

In his caption, Sunny expressed his deep love and affection for his father with the simple yet profound message: “Happy Birthday Papa. I love you the most!” This tribute resonated deeply with fans, showcasing the sentimental and personal side of their relationship.

Dharmendra, fondly known as the He-Man of Bollywood, has been a towering figure in Indian cinema, widely regarded as one of the finest action heroes. His career has spanned over six decades, with memorable roles in films like Sholay, The Burning Train, Rakhwala, and Pratiggya, among many others. His larger-than-life presence and memorable performances have left an indelible mark on Bollywood.

The legendary actor was last seen in the music video Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which featured him alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. However, Dharmendra is set to make his return to the big screen in the much-anticipated war drama Ikkis. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan, will see Dharmendra share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Ikkis is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a brave soldier who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his extraordinary courage during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Additionally, Dharmendra will also feature in Apne 2, a sequel to the 2007 family drama Apne, where he will once again share the screen with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with Karan Deol. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, promises to bring back the family dynamics and action-packed sequences that fans loved in the original.

On the other hand, Sunny Deol, who continues to be one of Bollywood’s most beloved action stars, is gearing up for his next big project, the action-packed Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni. Recently, the teaser for the film was released, which has already generated immense excitement. In it, Sunny can be seen locking horns with actor Randeep Hooda, signaling a high-octane showdown between the two.

As Dharmendra celebrates another year of his incredible legacy, it’s clear that both he and his family continue to inspire generations of movie lovers with their timeless contributions to Indian cinema. Here’s wishing Dharmendra a very happy 89th birthday, and may his journey in the film industry continue to shine bright for years to come!
