In a feat that has redefined the global potential of Indian cinema, Ranveer Singh’s high-octane spy thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2), has officially crossed the ₹1400 crore mark worldwide on its 13th day.

As of Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the film stands at a staggering ₹1435 crore gross globally. What makes this achievement historic is that Dhurandhar 2 has become the first Hindi film to reach this milestone without a release in the Chinese market, a feat previously only achieved by Aamir Khan’s Dangal through its massive China run.

The Aditya Dhar directorial continues to display unprecedented momentum even in its second week. On Day 13 (Tuesday), the film earned ₹27 crore nett in India, pushing its domestic total to ₹899 crore nett. Early reports from Wednesday morning shows indicate the film has already breached the ₹900 crore nett milestone in India. This follows a record-breaking second weekend where the film collected ₹170 crore nett, the highest ever in Indian cinematic history, surpassing all previous benchmarks held by major blockbusters.

Internationally, the “Ranveer Singh wave” shows no signs of receding. The film has already amassed $38.4 million in overseas markets, officially dethroning Baahubali 2 to become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America. The spy thriller, which also stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, has benefited from intense word-of-mouth and a “revised print” released by the director to rectify minor technical goofs, further encouraging repeat viewings.

The industry is now abuzz with “₹2000 Crore” projections. With the first Dhurandhar still running in some theaters three months after its December 2025 release, the sequel is expected to have an exceptionally long tail at the box office. Even fellow actors are “shook” by the performance; Vicky Kaushal recently took to social media to tell Ranveer, “You inspire me, brother,” as the film cements its status as a cultural phenomenon of 2026.
