Dhurandhar 2 Runtime To Be Shorter Than Part 1?
One of the year’s most anticipated cinematic events, Dhurandhar 2, is gearing up for its high-stakes release. As the sequel to the massive December 2025 blockbuster, the film has officially cleared the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as of February 9, 2026.
Fans of the Ranveer Singh-starrer now have concrete details regarding what to expect when they head to theaters next month.
The official CBFC website lists the runtime for Dhurandhar: The Revenge at 208 minutes, which translates to 3 hours and 28 minutes. Interestingly, this makes the sequel roughly six minutes shorter than its predecessor. The original Dhurandhar initially clocked in at 3 hours and 34 minutes (214 minutes), though later theatrical edits and its subsequent Netflix release saw that length trimmed closer to the sequel’s current duration.
In a significant shift from the first installment, Dhurandhar 2 has been granted a U/A 16+ certificate. While the first film carried a strict ‘A’ (Adults Only) rating due to its intense, gritty violence, the sequel appears to have found a middle ground that allows a slightly broader—though still mature—audience to witness the next chapter of Hamza Ali Mazhari’s undercover mission.
Scheduled for a massive pan-India release on March 19, 2026, the film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. This date marks a “clash of the titans” at the box office, as it goes head-to-head with the Yash-starrer Toxic. With the teaser already generating significant buzz and the trailer expected in early March, the stage is set for one of the biggest theatrical showdowns in recent history.
