The Indian box office witnessed a massive clash on March 19, 2026, as Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge and Ustaad Bhagat Singh released on the same day.

While both films carried huge expectations, it was Ranveer Singh’s action spectacle that stormed ahead. With a massive release and strong pre-release buzz, the film earned around ₹145.55 crore on Day 1, emerging as one of Bollywood’s biggest openers. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film benefited from its pan-India reach and multilingual rollout.

On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, delivered a solid opening of around ₹25 crore.

The film performed strongly in Telugu-speaking regions, especially during the festive Ugadi period, reaffirming the actor’s stronghold in the South. However, its limited release beyond core markets restricted its overall box office numbers.

The stark gap in collections highlights two different strengths—while Dhurandhar 2 thrived on scale, wide release, and nationwide appeal, Ustaad Bhagat Singh showcased the power of regional stardom.

As the weekend progresses, all eyes are on whether the gap will widen further or if regional dominance can hold steady against the pan-India wave.
