Ranveer Singh starrer becomes longest-trending Indian film on ticketing platform
February 15, 2026: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has become the longest-trending Indian film in the history of BookMyShow, surpassing earlier records held by Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, and Stree 2 featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Released on December 5, Dhurandhar has reportedly remained on the platform’s trending list for 59 days, edging past Chhaava’s 58-day run. Industry tracker Sacnilk estimates the film has sold between 13 to 15 million tickets, making it the highest-ticketed Hindi film on the platform so far.
Among other notable performers, Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun remains the most-watched film in BookMyShow’s history with over 20.41 million tickets sold, including a record one lakh tickets within an hour. Regional hits such as Premalu have also made a mark, crossing one million ticket sales and becoming the longest-trending Malayalam film. Other titles in the top trending list include Manjummel Boys, Kalki 2898 AD, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
Following the film’s success, the makers have announced a sequel titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, slated for release on March 19 in five languages. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel’s streaming rights have reportedly been acquired by JioHotstar for Rs 150 crore, while satellite rights have been picked up by Star Gold for Rs 50 crore.
