June 29, 2025: Shefali Jariwala, best known for her breakout performance in the early 2000s music video Kaanta Laga, tragically passed away late Friday night in Mumbai at the age of 42. Her sudden demise has left the entertainment industry and fans in shock.

Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, after her health deteriorated around 10:30 PM on June 27. Doctors declared her dead on arrival. The cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed, though initial reports suggest a possible cardiac arrest.

Mumbai Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR), and her autopsy has been conducted at Cooper Hospital. Officials stated that the medical opinion on the cause of death has been reserved pending further investigation. “Preliminary findings suggest it could be a natural death, and currently, there is no evidence of foul play,” a police official confirmed.

Suspected Link to Anti-Aging Treatment

According to sources cited in media reports, Jariwala was reportedly undergoing anti-aging treatment involving Vitamin C and Glutathione—a drug widely used for skin lightening and detoxification. She had reportedly taken an injection of the drug on Friday afternoon and consumed her regular pills later that night. The actress was also said to be fasting due to a puja at her residence, which may have compounded the effects of the medication, possibly leading to a drastic drop in blood pressure.
