June 29, 2025: Beyoncé stunned fans not just with her performance, but also with her composure when a stage prop malfunctioned mid-air during her Cowboy Carter tour stop in Houston.

On June 28, while performing “16 Carriages” at Houston’s NRG Stadium, Beyoncé sat atop a red convertible suspended in the air — until the vehicle suddenly began to tilt at a sharp angle. A TikTok video captured the tense moment as the car tilted precariously above the crowd, with Beyoncé visibly strapped in, calmly holding onto a safety cable.

The prop was slowly lowered, and Beyoncé gracefully returned to her seat atop the car as it leveled out. According to the Houston Chronicle, the singer briefly exited the stage before returning to complete her performance. She later reassured fans with a heartfelt message: “If ever I fall, I know y’all would catch me.”

No official statement has been made about the cause of the malfunction, but fans online praised Beyoncé’s poise — with some jokingly quoting her famous line: “Somebody’s getting fired!”
