Diddy’s Federal Release Date Extended by One Month

Sean Combs Now Scheduled for Release in June 2028 Following Reports of Prison Rule Violations

Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently serving a sentence for prostitution-related convictions, is now expected to spend approximately four additional weeks behind bars. The Federal Bureau of Prisons website lists the rapper’s revised release date as June 4, 2028, a month later than his previous projected date of May 8, 2028.

While federal officials have not provided a direct explanation for the change, the revised timeline follows recent media reports alleging the 56-year-old mogul violated prison regulations at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

Alleged Violations Inside Prison

The extension comes amid a highly scrutinized period following Combs’ transfer to Fort Dix:

  • Homemade Alcohol: A report from TMZ claimed Combs was found with homemade alcohol—a fermented mix involving Fanta soda, sugar, and apples—during his first week at the facility.
  • Prohibited Communication: CBS News reported that Combs participated in a prohibited three-way phone call, which violates Bureau of Prisons rules against inmates adding extra participants mid-call.

Combs’ spokesperson has vehemently denied the reports, stating on November 9 that Combs “has not violated any prison rules,” and that maintaining sobriety and discipline remains his priority.

Conviction and Sentencing Timeline

  • Arrest: September 2024 (Placed in federal custody).
  • Convictions: July 2025 (Two federal convictions tied to transportation for prostitution).
  • Sentencing: October 2025 (Handed a 50-month term by the court).
  • Location: Currently incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

Combs’ legal team is currently preparing to appeal the sentence, arguing that Judge Arun Subramanian overstepped the jury’s role during the October sentencing hearing.
