May 25, 2025: As Sean “Diddy” Combs’ criminal trial takes a short Memorial Day break, the embattled music mogul will remain behind bars at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), spending the holiday like any other inmate.

Now in his third week on trial in New York for serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, Combs is being held without bail in MDC’s 4 North unit—a dormitory-style area shared with roughly 20 other men. The 55-year-old has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

With the courtroom closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, MDC has planned a few holiday activities for inmates, including card games like Spades, dominoes, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and a soccer match, according to a prison staffer.

Meals will remain standard for the holiday. Breakfast will include fruit, cereal, skim milk, and a breakfast cake. For lunch, inmates can choose between baked chili cheese tots or a baked potato, served with green beans, fruit, and whole wheat bread. Dinner options include either a chicken breast sandwich or chickpea burger with sides like pinto beans, steamed rice, and corn.

A prison source confirmed that Combs has not received any special treatment. “He’s being treated like any other detainee awaiting trial,” they said, noting that he was placed on suicide watch as a routine precaution after his September 2024 arrest.

Since the trial began on May 12, jurors have heard from a range of witnesses, including former employees, makeup artists, and ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and her mother. The trial is expected to wrap up before July 4.

If found guilty on all charges, Combs could face a life sentence.
