February 25, 2025: National Award-winning director Viral Shah’s upcoming film Dil Dosti Aur Dogs is set to explore the profound bond between humans and dogs. The film, starring Neena Gupta and Sharad Kelkar, will stream on the newly launched OTT platform Jio Hotstar starting February 28.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Goa, the film delves into the emotional, relational, and well-being impact that dogs have on humans, highlighting their role as companions. The serene beauty of Goa provides a stunning visual backdrop that complements the story’s heartwarming narrative.

The ensemble cast includes Masumeh Makhija, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Keerti Kelkar, Tinu Anand, Ehan Bhat, and Tridha Chaudhary. Neena Gupta, who plays the role of Bethany Lawrence, shared her thoughts on portraying the character. She explained that playing Bethany was an emotional experience, as her character goes on a journey of rediscovery with the help of an unexpected canine companion.

“She’s a woman who has suppressed her passion and distanced herself from the world, but through an unexpected companion, she learns that life still has so much to offer. It’s a beautiful journey of rediscovery, and I connected with it on a personal level,” Neena said.

Sharad Kelkar, who plays a significant role in the film, reflected on his experience of working with his wife, Keerti Kelkar, as well as the connection with his on-screen daughter. He shared that the bond he developed with his on-screen daughter reminded him of his own relationship with his real-life daughter, deepening their connection. The actor also expressed his joy in working with dogs on set, acknowledging the effortless warmth they bring into people’s lives.
