‘Dil Ka Kya’ From Metro... In Dino Evokes KK’s Iconic ‘Alvida’ Vibes, Wtch!
June 09, 2025 : The makers of Metro…In Dino are building strong buzz for the film’s July 4 release, especially through its deeply emotional music. After unveiling the heartfelt track Zamaana Lage, the team has now released Dil Ka Kya, a melancholic yet modern number.
Sung by Raghav Chaitanya and composed by Pritam, the song captures the pain and fragility of urban love. Penned by Anurag Sharma, the track explores the emotional turmoil of four couples navigating connection and heartbreak in a fast-paced cityscape.

Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro…In Dino is a spiritual sequel to his 2007 hit Life in a… Metro and features a star-studded cast: Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Saswata Chatterjee.
Konkona Sensharma, the only actor returning from the original, had a deeply emotional moment during the shoot. Director Anurag Basu revealed that a particular scene’s tone reminded her of a moment with Irrfan Khan, her late co-star and close friend.
“Suddenly, Konkona started crying during the shoot,” Basu recalled. “Even now, I fear she may get emotional again if someone brings him up.”
Basu also paid tribute to singer KK, whose iconic songs Alvida and O Meri Jaan from the original film remain etched in audience memory.
“We miss KK very much. There are many from the old team who are no longer with us,” he said.
Metro…In Dino, produced by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions, is helmed by Anurag Basu and backed by producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu.
