About the Show

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which first aired in 2008 on SAB TV, is one of India’s longest-running sitcoms. Based on the Gujarati column Duniya Ne Undha Chashma by journalist Taarak Mehta, the series revolves around the quirky residents of Gokuldham Society in Mumbai.

Dilip Joshi’s portrayal of Jethalal — a Gujarati electronics shop owner with a penchant for comic blunders — has become iconic, while Munmun Dutta’s elegant and witty Babita remains a favourite with audiences.

Despite multiple cast changes over the years, the show continues to deliver strong TRP ratings and enjoys a fiercely loyal fan base.
