Diljit Dosanjh Confirms Debut At MET Gala 2025 Alongside Kiara Advani; Indian Celebs Set To Shine On Global Stage

May 04,2025: The MET Gala 2025 is all set to become a landmark event for Indian representation in global fashion, as singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has officially confirmed his debut at the prestigious event. His announcement follows shortly after actor Kiara Advani confirmed her own attendance at fashion’s biggest night.

On May 4, Diljit took to Instagram to share a glimpse into his preparations. In a cryptic story captioned “First Time” with a sand timer emoji, he hinted at his debut.

He followed this with a monochrome photo of a covered outfit, embroidered with the words “MET Gala”. While the designer of his ensemble remains under wraps, anticipation is building over his look for the red carpet.

Kiara Advani, who will don a custom creation by celebrated Indian designer Gaurav Gupta, is already in New York. The mom-to-be landed on May 3 and gave fans a peek into her hotel suite. Before heading to the Big Apple, Kiara and her husband Sidharth Malhotra made a stop in Zurich for their babymoon.

This year’s MET Gala, scheduled for May 5 at 6 PM ET (May 6, 3:30 AM IST), will be streamed live on Vogue’s digital platforms and YouTube channel, allowing Indian fans to watch the glamour unfold in real time.

The theme for the 2025 MET Gala exhibit is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, with the dress code “Tailored for You.” The theme draws from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, celebrating the influence and innovation of Black fashion and tailoring.

With Indian celebrities like Diljit and Kiara stepping onto this iconic stage, the MET Gala 2025 promises to be a proud and stylish moment for the country.
