June 1, 2025: Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is ready to take fans on another magical rollercoaster ride with the much-anticipated third installment of his blockbuster franchise, Sardaar Ji 3. The actor-singer set social media ablaze after unveiling a vibrant new poster on Instagram, teasing that the official teaser will be out soon. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 27, 2025.

In the poster, Diljit—donning his iconic turban, sunglasses, and cheeky smile—is seen surrounded by women with their faces covered by dupattas, heightening the intrigue. The caption reads:

After delivering two massive hits—Sardaar Ji (2015) and Sardaar Ji 2 (2016)—Diljit reunites with Neeru Bajwa under the direction of Amar Hundal for what promises to be an action-packed, horror-comedy filled with romance, fantasy, and supernatural chaos. Supporting cast includes Gulshan Grover, Manav Vij, Nasir Chinyoti, Monica Sharma, and Saleem Albela.

Adding to the excitement are reports that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir is joining the cast. Rumors of her involvement began swirling after she and Diljit shared cryptic Instagram posts from the same shoot location. Alongside Sardaar Ji 3, Diljit is also preparing for the release of his much-awaited biographical drama, Punjab 95, based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a human rights activist who exposed mass disappearances during Punjab’s militancy period. Diljit stars as Khalra, with Arjun Rampal also playing a significant role.

However, the film has faced major hurdles with India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Initially reported in 2022, Punjab 95 has been held up due to censorship issues, with reports in 2024 suggesting the CBFC proposed up to 120 cuts to the film. The controversy has only intensified anticipation around its eventual release.
