Diljit Dosanjh’s BTS Met Gala Clip Is Breaking the Internet: Watch!

May 16, 2025: After turning heads at the Met Gala 2025 with his regal and culturally rich ensemble, Diljit Dosanjh is now giving fans a peek behind the curtain. The Punjabi singer-actor, who made his Met Gala debut this year, has shared behind-the-scenes footage from the glamorous event, capturing the candid, chaotic, and confident moments leading up to his appearance.

Taking to Instagram, Diljit posted a teaser with the caption: “BEHIND THE SCENE OUT NOW ON YOUTUBE.” In the video, he’s seen prepping for the night while answering questions with his trademark sass and charm.

When asked if there was anyone he was excited to meet at the Met, the Soorma star cheekily replied:

“Don’t take me wrong, but I am excited that everyone is going to look at me.”
In another candid moment, Diljit added:
“We’re not nervous at all — the ones who invited us should be nervous.”

Fans also got a glimpse of him being greeted by paparazzi as he stepped out of his hotel, dressed in his now-iconic Met Gala look.

Diljit’s ensemble was a tribute to Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, blending heritage with haute couture. Dressed in a custom white suit, drape, and embellished turban, his look was accessorized with a green-and-white stone necklace, inspired by the Maharaja’s original Cartier creation. Adding a deeply personal touch, the map of Punjab embroidered in Gurmukhi script adorned his drape.

The look was created in collaboration with designer Prabal Gurung, and supported by Cartier, Golecha Jewels, and stylist Abhilasha Devnani. In an earlier Instagram post, Diljit shared photos from the red carpet, writing:

“MAIN HOON Punjab #metgala…Inspired by The Theme of Black Dandyism, I Bring My Turban, My Culture & My Mother Tongue ‘Punjab’ to The MET GALA.”

Diljit’s Met Gala appearance has since been praised not just for its fashion statement but for proudly showcasing Punjabi identity and culture on one of the world’s biggest style stages.
